Almond Milk

Almond Milk

If you're trying to cut dairy or are lactose-intolerant then try this amazing recipe for Almond milk. It's going to give you a much more nutritious boost than plain old milk can.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 cup water
  • 1 cup blanched almonds*

Optional

  • 1 cup of ice for cold milk
  • sweetener if desired
  • vanilla extract if desired

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix 2L container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 10, then override to High.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 60-90 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.

Notes

  • For a raw nut milk, use raw almonds and strain through a nut milk bag.*
  • Milk will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Make sure to always check that the nuts you are buying are gluten free.
