Video Recipe – Happy New Year Smoothie

New Year! New You! New smoothie recipes! This recipe is so delicious and has a fantastic kick to it. Went a little too far celebrating that special occasion? Well… this will certainly give you the healthy wake up that you’re needing to start your day. 

Happy New Year Smoothie

Makes –  1 to 1.5L
Serves – 2 to 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups coconut water
  • 1 banana (peeled)
  • 1 small wedge of lime (with peel)
  • 1/3 mango (frozen)
  • 2 cups pineapple (with core)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • small pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups ice

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select Variable 1. Start the machine, slowly increase to its highest speed, and blend for 45-60 seconds. Alternatively, select the drinks setting and start the machine.
  3. Use the tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades whilst processing, if needed.
  4. Stop the machine and serve.
