How to Make a Brown Rice Milk Using the Vitamix Blender

Video Transcription:

Hey, guys. It’s Tommy here at Raw Blend. Today, I’m going to make delicious rice milk for you all. If you haven’t tried rice milk before, you should give this recipe a go. Really simple to make; it tastes really good, too. That’s what I love about it.

So, I’m going to start off, I’m going to put in some filtered water. I’m going to put in about three cups of filtered water. There we go. All my measurements stay on this side. And I’ve got one cup of cooked brown rice in here. I have soaked that as well before I cooked it. Put that in. Any sort of rice you like, you can use. It doesn’t matter.

I like to sweeten it up a little bit, so I’m going to put in a few dates in there. In they go — pitted dates, of course, and a little bit of cinnamon, a little bit of flavor. Cinnamon is great for diabetics, great for stabilising blood sugar levels. So, a little bit of cinnamon is good for you. In it goes. And a little bit of ice. I like my milk to be cold in the morning. That’s it. It’s that simple. You don’t need to put anything else in. Lock that lid into place. And we’re going to blend that for about one minute on high speed. Away we go.

That’s it. It’s that simple. A little bit of a tip. I like to put that on a slow speed just to fold out any of these air bubbles in there. It’s at a slow speed for about 10 to 15 seconds. All right, we’re done. It smells good. You’re going to love it. Pour it out there into a nice jug. See how smooth it is. And a little bit in the cup here. Try some of this. Try it over your muesli in the morning, or use that in your protein shake; absolutely delicious. Happy blending.
