How To Make Salsa using the Vitamix – Video

Video Transcription:

How are you going? It’s Tommy from Raw Blend. One of the best things you’re going to love about your Vitamix blender is that you can use it like a great food processor. You have full variable control over the speed which means you can control the consistency of the food you’re making.

Look over here at all these delicious recipes I’ve just made. I made a fresh pesto with basil and pine nuts, a lovely hummus with chick peas and lemon juice, a tahini made from just sesame seeds, the best guacamole in the world made from avocado, tomato, and chilies, and the most amazing garlic aoli, and salad dressing you’ve ever tasted. It’s going to be delicious.

But today I’m going to show you how to make a garden fresh salsa, one of my favourite recipes. So I’m going to just put some tomatoes straight into the container. I’m going to add a little bit of onion, a little bit of flavour, little bit of capsicum, red capsicum. I like the taste better. It’s a little bit sweeter. Chili. I love chili. I’m going to put a nice slice of chili in there. A little bit of garlic, some lemon juice, some fresh coriander. I love coriander. Throw that in there. And just a bit of seasoning, some salt and pepper.

All right. That’s it. I’m going to lock my lid into place. I’m going to start that on the slowest speed for making our salsa, speed number one. I’m going to get my tamper in there just till it’s a nice consistency, probably about 30 seconds. Just pushing all that food into the blade.

That’s it. We’re done. I’ll just serve some of that out here. I can smell it already. It’s going to taste delicious. Look at all that, the coriander, the tomato, the chili, absolutely beautiful. Now all we need is some corn chips. I can’t wait to taste this. Look at that. Fresh garden salsa. Delicious.
