How to Make Chocolate Caramel Swirl Ice Cream Using the Vitamix Blender
Hey, guys. This is Tommy here from Raw Blend. Today, I’m going to make one of the tastiest recipes of all time. It’s a Chocolate Caramel Swirl Ice Cream. You’re absolutely going to fall in love with this ice cream recipe. Really simple to make, so here we go.
Let’s put in a banana. One banana, throw it in. I’ve got about a quarter of a cup of fresh rice milk. In that goes. I’m going to put in two to three tablespoons of cacao powder. In that goes. Some dates for sweetness; a nice, natural sweetener. I’m going to put in about 10 dates there and then we’re going to put in two tablespoons of raw honey, your favourite honey. In it goes.
I’m going to be putting quite a lot of ice in here, so that will balance all that sweetness out I’ve just put in with the honey and the dates. I’ll get all that in there. I’m not going to waste it. Nice Manuka honey I’ve got there. That looks pretty good. I’m going to fill that up with ice, so probably about four cups of ice I’m putting in there — three to four cups. I’m seeing what looks good there and that, I can throw out. We don’t need all that. I think that looks pretty good. What do you think?
All right, we’re going to lock our lid into place. And we’re going to get it up at high speed for about 30 seconds. All right, here we go. [noise of blender] That’s it. It’s done, that is thick, that is frozen inside my container. Chocolate ice cream at the moment. So, what I like to do than to give it the caramel swirl, I’m going to put in about 8, 9, 10 pitted dates. In they go.
Grab that tamper back, and I’m going to chop that through on a slow speed, maybe about 10, 15 seconds. Away we go. That’s it. That’s simple. So, that’s given me that nice swirl of like an imitation caramel in there with the pitted dates. Beautiful, ready to go.
So, let’s have some of this. If I wanted it a little bit more frozen than this, I could have used a little bit more ice for this recipe, more like a soft serve, here. A little fruit flying out over here. Just to top this off, you’re going to love this. This is the ice magic, chocolate homemade ice magic we made earlier, raw ice magic. I’m just going to put a little bit of this and drizzle it over the top here. Beautiful.
