Video Blog: How To Make an Orange Smoothie
Hi Everyone! It’s Claire here in the Raw Blend Kitchen and today I am going to show you all how to make a refreshing Orange Smoothie using the Vitamix Pro 500. This smoothie is perfect for those hot summer days or even great to give your body a good Vitamin C boost now that Autumn is here and winter is right around the corner! So let’s get in the kitchen and let’s get started …
Orange Smoothie
Makes: 1.25L
Serves: 2-6
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 oranges (peeled)
- 3/4 cup activated almond milk
- 3 Tbsp rice malt syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1-2 cup ice
Method
- Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix 2L container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 10, then override to High.
- Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
- Blend for 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
- Stop the machine and serve.
Make sure you use a good quality high powered blender to ensure a smooth and creamy blend every time! We can’t go past the Vitamix.
