Vitamix Wet Container with Lid and Blade with Tamper (48oz - 1.4L)

i have used Vitamix for past 8 years & absolutely love the product

I love the compact size of the 1.4L jug - deliberated for much too long because of the outlay - but its the perfect size for everyday blending. I don't love the new stiff lid that isn't as easy to lift off as the flexible black rubber one, but a small complaint over against the functionality of the new jug. Thanks Raw Blend for a timely delivery.

Great container, I needed a second wet container as the vitamix is used multiple times a day for smoothies, excellent comparability with my 11 year old TNC base that is still going strong .

I've had the Vitamix TNC for 7 years and pretty much use it everyday for smoothie bowls. When I initially purchased my Vitamix this short profile wet jug was not available. But I'm so glad it is now!

I'm not gonna lie, it took a bit of getting used too..Because it's shorter and wider, I had a bit of trouble knowing exactly how much to put in.. I'd pretty much just "chuck things in" until they came up to a certain level on the old jug. Because the dimensions are different with this jug, knowing just how far to fill it took me about 10 days.. I'd either make not enough or too much. I had the same issue when it came to cleaning, I'd put too much water in and it would overflow. Whilst these are not first world problems, this is a honest review. And honestly I've got to say I absolutely LOVE this jug now I'm used to it!

It's much kinder on your ears and arms...it's actually quiter!!! I guess because an empty vessel makes more noise, and whenever I use this jug its at least half full, whereas the 2l jug was only ever about one third full. Mostly I'm making thick frozen smoothie bowls, so I use the tamper a lot, because this jug is shorter I don't have to reach up so high.

If there's a down side to this jug, I'd have to say I'm not a huge fan of the grey lid, its different to the lager jug, but seals quite well. I just don't like the colour. I wish they'd made it black like the old jug and all my other appliances.

If you are considering purchasing this jug I'd highly recommend it. I haven't used the larger jug since purchasing this one. Its a perfect size for one. :-)
