Video Blog: Beet Berry Burst

This weeks video blog is a simple smoothie recipe – our Beet Berry Burst! This recipes uses grapes which are great for lowering cholesterol. Pineapple which is full of bromeline, a natural anti-inflammatory, so it’s really good for arthritis and sore muscles. Berries which are high in antioxidants and i am of course using beetroot, which is great for our blood pressure, it’s a natural anti-inflammatory and is great for detoxification. This smoothie is beautiful in colour, packed with antioxidants and perfect for summer time. Enjoy!



  • 1 cup seedless grapes
  • large slice pineapple (including core)
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 raw beetroot
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • beetroot leaves
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1-2 cup ice


  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix 2L container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 10, then override to High.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 60-90 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.

Make sure you use a good quality high powered blender to ensure a smooth and creamy blend every time! We can’t go past the Vitamix.

  1. I’ve made this twice so far (just made it again this morning) — it’s very good. I add a packet of stevia just to make it a little sweeter.

  2. I want the Vitamix so badly. I saw them at Costco the other day for $449 I think which is still not in my budget right now. I have the Ninja and uilkne Joy above I really don’t like mine, but it works well enough for now. I burned out the motor on an Oster blender prior to the Ninja.
