Cumin Green Smoothie Submitted by Claire Walters - Raw Blend

Try this Cumin Green smoothie recipe for a green smoothie recipe with a twist! The addition of cumin is delicious and so good for you!


  • 1 cup coconut milk or almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 small cucumber (enough for 1 cup)
  • 1 handful parsley
  • a few mint leaves
  • 3/4 cup tightly packed greens of choice
  • 1 x 3cm piece of ginger
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp lightly toasted cumin seeds
  • 1/2 lemon (peeled)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup Ice


  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 60-90 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.
