Try this Jalapeño Hummus for a spicy twist on the classic recipe! It’s super easy to whip up and perfect for entertaining. Serve it with crackers, pita, or fresh veggies, or even use it as a tasty spread in your wraps. Enjoy the kick!

Ingredients

Hummus

  • 2 cans chickpeas (liquid from 1 can)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp minced garlic or 1 garlic clove
  • 1 1/4 lime (juice only)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Chunky Style Ingredients

  • 1 – 3 jalapeno’s (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp parsley (chopped)

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and increase to speed 8.
  3. Use the tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 20-30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine.
  6. Add in Chunky Style ingredients Jalapeño and Parsley.
  7. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and increase to speed 3.
  8. Use the tamper and blend for a few seconds.
  9. Stop the machine and serve.
