Kale Walnut & Chilli Pesto Submitted by Tommy - Raw Blend

Our Kale Walnut & Chilli Pesto Recipe is delicious as a dip or served with your favourite pasta. It’s bursting with flavour and fresh ingredients.


  • 3/4 cup quality raw cold-pressed olive oil
  • 2 cups kale
  • 1 cup basil
  • 3/4 cup walnuts (or pine nuts)
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic (peeled)
  • pinch salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 hot birds eye chilli


  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to high speed.
  3. Use tamper effectively to press the ingredients into the blades.
  4. Blend for 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.


  • Recipe yields enough sauce to coat 500 grams of pasta.
