Pea & Lettuce Soup Submitted by Tommy - Raw Blend

Try our Pea and Lettuce Soup recipe this winter. It is fresh, fast, simple and really tasty!


  • 2 cups peas (frozen is fine)
  • 1/2 lettuce – we used cos
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 vegetarian stock cube
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 spring onion / shallot (about a 15cm long piece)
  • A few basil leaves (optional)


  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 5-6 minutes or until desired temperature is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.


  • If using hot water run for only 1-2 minutes.
  • Raw Foodist like to only heat their soup to about 45 degrees so no enzymes are lost.
  • We taste tested this in the office like we do with all of our recipes and half liked it with onion and half like it without onion. So it’s worth it to try both ways
