Pear & Ginger Smoothie Submitted by Claire Walters - Raw Blend

One of our favourite smoothies here in the office for when you have an upset stomach. The mixture of pear and ginger really is an excellent gut soother.


  • 2 ripe pears (pitted and coarsely chopped)
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) ginger root (peeled and coarsely chopped)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup (250 mL) almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • handful ice
  • sprinkle cinnamon on top


  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 60-90 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.
