Raw Donuts Submitted by Claire Walters - Raw Blend

  • 1 ½ cup almond meal
  • 1 ¼ cup dried shredded coconut
  • pinch Himalayan sea salt
  • 3 Tbsp coconut nectar
  • 1 small chunk of beetroot for pink colour (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp or more of spirulina powder for green colour (optional)

Chocolate drizzle

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 12 cup raw cacao powder
  • pinch Himalayan sea salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut nectar



  1. Put all the donuts ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper effectively to press the ingredients into the blades.
  4. Blend for 45-60 seconds or until smooth.
  5. Blend until you have formed a nice dough. It might be a bit oily, this doesn’t matter.
  6. Roll the dough into a donut shape and place on your mesh dehydrator tray.
  7. Dehydrate on 65 degrees C for 2 hours in a quality Food Dehydrator and then turn the heat down to about 45 degrees Celsius and dehydrate until you have reached your desired consistency.

Chocolate Drizzle

  1. Mix the cacao powder, sea salt and coconut nectar into the coconut oil to make your drizzle.
  2. Drizzle over the donuts and set in the freezer for around an hour.
