Raw Macarons Submitted by Claire Walters - Raw Blend

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp of vanilla paste
  • pinch of Himalayan salt
  • 3 ½ cups coconut flakes or shredded coconut

Optional

  • liquid stevia (to sweeten)

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into a large bowl in the order listed above and mix well.
  2. Roll small portions of the mixture and then flatten out on a greaseproof tray.
  3. Dehydrate at 110 Fahrenheit (44 degrees Celsius) for 24 hours. They should come out crisp on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside.

Notes

  • If you don’t have a food dehydrator, pop them on some wax paper and set them in the fridge overnight or for a few hours. Serve them minutes after you have taken them out of the fridge.
