Spicy Smoothie Submitted by Claire Walters - Raw Blend

Like a bit of spice in your life? Then our Spicy Smoothie recipe is for you. Bursting with flavours like cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg this spicy beverage is set to satisfy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup almond milk (or any milk that suits you)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana or 1 slice pineapple
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch cardamom
  • pinch cloves
  • pinch nutmeg
  • pinch ginger
  • pinch turmeric
  • pinch black pepper
  • ice

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 45-60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.
