This Winter Spiced Smoothie is a delicious creamy and flavoursome smoothie perfect for cooler weather. You can make this recipe for breakfast or dessert, it works well for both, and is quick and easy to make in your Vitamix Blender.
- 2 bananas (peeled)
- 1 orange (peeled)
- 2 dates (pitted)
- 1/4 cup almonds (blanched)
- 1 small slice ginger
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 1 star anise
- 3/4 cup water
- 1-2 cups ice
- Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and slowly increase to the highest speed.
- Use the tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades whilst processing.
- Blend for 40-50 seconds or until desired consistency is reached, and stop the machine.
