Weekly Leftover Green Smoothie Submitted by Tommy - Raw Blend

The Weekly Leftover Green Smoothie makes the most of those leftovers with an easy blender recipe to make a healthy, whole food snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 handful kale
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 2 florets broccoli
  • 1 leaf silverbeet
  • 1/3 cucumber
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1 kiwi fruit
  • 1 slice paw paw (seedless)
  • 1 banana (peeled)
  • 2 cups ice

Optional

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp goji berries
  • 1 slice lime (with peel)
  • 1 slice lemon (with peel)
  • 1 Tbsp organic honey

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select speed 1, turn the machine on and quickly increase to the highest speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 60-90 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve.
