Juices and Smoothies are always a fantastic way to get a good hit of nutrients however, they aren’t as appealing in the cooler months and some people can’t stomach a lot of cold foods if they have a Spleen Qi Deficiency. Don’t lose faith! You can still enjoy some jovial juice recipes!

If you’re still wanting to include some juices in your diet here are a few warming recipes to help give your body a quick and nourishing boost!

This is a fantastic juice for dinner time if you are running out of time or just feel too lazy to cook. It’s also great if you are sick of sweet juices and have a craving for something savoury. It’s like drinking a super yummy tomato soup that’s low in natural sugars, high in flavour and nutrients, free from any chemical additives (if you choose organic veggies) and contains the metabolic benefits from the chilli.

If you are not into really hot food it’s an idea to make sure that your chilli is de-seeded before juicing or just omit it all together. I love a good chilli hit though… like a nourishing kick to the face without the bruising.

The colour of this juice says it all! It’s super rich in all things good including antioxidants which we all love to help us combat free radicals and inflammation! The beta-carotene, Vitamin C and Vitamin E content will have you glowing with youth and the dash of cinnamon will have you feeling as though you are drinking a decadent pumpkin pie whilst keeping your blood sugar level in check. Turmeric! I cannot get enough it this wonderful stuff! It’s a wonderful anti-inflammatory, has a great antioxidant level, supports the brain, can help lower heart disease and it’s also been linked to helping those fight against depression.

Adding it to your juices can also aid in fighting off infections of the digestive tract, detoxifying your liver and reducing cholesterol levels. I highly recommend adding this spice to any juice recipe or meal that you are preparing! It’s simply magic!
