Firstly, what does creating ‘a healthy mix for life’ mean to you?
Balance! family, work, recreation, and “me time”. Then doing all that in the healthiest and happiest way possible.
What does your day on a plate look like and why do you eat the way you do?
My day starts at 4.30am and I try to be asleep by 9pm. Each day is a crazy mixture of kids, exercise and work. I have 6 year old triplets who are on school holidays at the moment so life is… interesting.
I eat the way I do because it makes me feel good, it gives me the energy to do everything I need to and it’s simple!
Living a healthy life doesn’t just mean eating well … how do you keep your mind and body healthy?
A variety of exercise to keep me challenged and to ensure I’m always learning new things. I also love listening to audio books in the car.
Who is your health, wellness or fitness guru and why?
I don’t have one in particular. I have my own philosophy on health and wellness which is influenced by people in my personal health / fitness network.
What is your ONE Super Hero Food that you cannot live without?
Baby spinach without a doubt!
If you could share with the Raw Blend Family one piece of your wisdom what would it be?
Eat vegetables for breakfast.
We are lucky enough to have you share one of your favourite recipes with us, why do you love this recipe?
We’re all busy these days and finding the time to cook is often ranked down the bottom of people’s priority lists – especially when there’s so much packaged and pre made food available. I like recipes that have few ingredients, you can mix all in one bowl, they’re able to freeze and of course they’re healthy and taste good. My SBF Squares recipe is a perfect example… hope you like it!
