Gratitude.

My friends in the USA are celebrating Thanksgiving today – and while we don’t celebrate this holiday here in Australia, I thought it was the perfect time to encourage all of us all to practice the act of gratitude (same, same but different).

It is an amazing thing when you intentionally choose to be grateful … you instantly feel fulfillment and happiness. It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day stresses of life. You know how it goes, you wake up late because the alarm didn’t go off, you hit every red light on your way to work, your boss is riding your behind for results that seem simply unattainable sometimes … these little stresses start to impact on your overall mindset and you can start to feel overwhelmed and a little agitated. Nobody likes to feel like this.

My encouragement to you is don’t sweat the small stuff! There are so many beautiful things to be grateful for in this world. When you start to feel like this stop, pause, breathe and make a conscious decision to choose to be intentionally grateful for one beautiful thing in your life… it can be anything, whatever is in your heart at that present moment. When you shift your focus to the feeling of gratitude you start to feel instantly, warm, blessed, and thankful for the wonderful things in your life and the other things that were frustrating you just seem not so important anymore.

Celebrate the gift that is life… the air in your lungs, the ability to move your body, the ability to imagine and create beautiful and wonderful things with your mind & the ability to love. These are amazing gifts! There is great tragedy in life and great sadness but there also amazing possibilities and beautiful blessings. Choose to see the positives – this can often be the difference between a good day and a bad day.

Today I want you to take some time out on your own to reflect and choose 3 wonderful things to be intentionally grateful for … I do not care how big or small you think they might be! I want you to intentionally say thank you for these three things.  Feel the warm and fuzzies wash over you and the light flicker inside when you think about the beautiful life you have created.

Write it down too … the effect of putting pen to paper and physically seeing your gratitude can have a big impact!

Today I am grateful for …

  • My wonderful family & friends who continue to love me unconditionally and show me the most amazing support with every endeavor i take.

  • My beautiful partner Scott, who continues to show me love like i couldn’t believe possible, laughter when i feel i have nothing to smile at & support when i need it most.

  • My amazing Raw Blend Family … i am so blessed to be able to work with passionate, like minded individuals to encourage people to live their best life possible. These people continue to inspire me professionally and personally and make work a wonderful place to be!
