It’s coming into the warmer weather here in QLD and we thought we would add to the heat with our super tasty Hot Hummus recipe. This is a fantastic recipe to whip up as a healthy snack to share with friends. It’s super simple, tasty and has no surprising additives that are found in most store bought dips and spreads.
Hot Hummus Recipe
Makes: 750ml – 1L
Serves: 6-8 people

Ingredients
- 3 cups chick peas
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 birds eye chilli
- 2 cloves garlic
Method
- Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix 2L container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and quickly increase the speed to 10, then override to High.
- Use the tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades whilst processing.
- Blend for 60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
- Stop the machine and serve.
