Video Blog: Sundried Tomato Hummus

Hey everyone! Claire here from Raw Blend! Today I am going to make for you a delicious and simple sun-dried tomato hummus. I’ll be using none other than the Professional Series 750 Vitamix with the 1.4L container. If you are looking for a quality High Powered blender look no further than the Vitamix.

Sundried Tomato Hummus

Makes: 600ml
Serves:2-8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp rice malt syrup or maple syrup
  • 1 large lemon (juice and zest)
  • 1/4 cup white (hulled) sesame seeds or hulled tahini
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sundried tomatos
  • 1 garlic clove (peeled)
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Optional

  • 1/2 inch ginger

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and increase the speed to high speed.
  3. Use tamper to effectively press the ingredients into the blades if required whilst processing.
  4. Blend for 30 seconds until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Stop the machine and serve
